From the very top to the very bottom there are only two roles in this Company. From President and his CFO to the most junior 2 man Team:

The Leader: Accepts personal responsibility, vigour of personality, power of decision-making, makes him decisive in executing work.

The Second-in-Command: Much the same save his focus is inanimate objects – site materiel (logistics), site administration (tools, maintenance, etc) and site security.

The aptitudes that make a person succeed in this company are:

The physical: We are constantly in motion. Much like an athlete the one that dominates his work area is productive and successful.

The 3-dimensional: Those that see the image in their minds eye, the final destination of the many things we do, and are able to immediately grasp the geometry excel.

Dexterity: Those able to translate images into a final product. Not just eye skills but hand skills.

The biggest challenge of all is Attitude.

A man said, “I was Black Watch.” (An infantry regiment.) “I am Black Watch. And, I will be, always, Black Watch.” What is it that makes him so attached to this thing, this regiment? What is it that makes him believe? After all, all of it, traditions, uniforms, and values – they’re all made up, by people.

The answer is “family”, “community”. How people treat each other. How people act as individuals – discipline, standards, code, ethos.

It is about educating an individual about corporate structures and systems –understanding and performing functions well according to specific methods and designs without fail.

It is about being treated well, encouraged and respected. It is about self-control, about knowing what the goals are and achieving them.

We are a meritocracy. We are not political. We are not bureaucratic. There is no room for smoke and mirrors.

There is only one standard, being Predictable.
